Craving Quest's Seasons 2 Was Released... Here's Why You Should Care

Folks, this here is a big deal. You have a real-deal big-budget RPG on your hands and its name is Craving Quest. The game checks just about every box you could ask for in an RPG, and if you're on the fence about it, well, let me give you a little info on why you should be all over this.

Craving Quest isn't the type of game that should be overlooked or cast aside. The first thing that makes it great is the fact it's free to play. Sure, you can fork over some dough to advance faster, but there's nothing to keep you from jumping into this free-to-play title and having a blast while playing on your own terms (100% free). It's rare to find games that actually offer the ability to play comfortably without having to pay a fortune.

The Plot & Beyond

Look, this game right here doesn't have the most fascinating plot imaginable. It's a fairly standard fantasy ordeal with some life-threatening evil force that wants to end all life, a ragtag band of heroes that must protect said world (the planet you're stuck on), a beautiful area that needs saving from various monsters and more, but honestly, that's not the most appealing part since this game won't be winning any awards for its story anytime soon. What matters is that the storyline is passable, but everything else is a cut above.

The game looks good and the gameplay is phenomenal. The minute you boot up the game, you're shown your starting town and surrounding areas that look stunning. There's a lot to admire about this game: the music, the graphics, and the addictive gameplay mechanics. The turn-based combat would probably remind some folks of Final Fantasy and similar jRPG titles.

They Made It Even Better!

As described above, Craving Quest is pretty much perfect all around (aside from the uninspired plot), but they did find a way to make it better... The second season update is now available over at Erogames. Here are a few things that were tweaked:

• Better visuals. Everything was improved and the game looks even better now.


• New chapters in the story. For those that love plowing through the main quest, your reward is.... more chapters! Oh, there's also a brand-new character that can join your party.


• Brand-new skills. Those can be obtained with the Hero Awakening system. Won't trouble you with a long-winded description of how it works or how to best spend your skill points, but the gist is that it's now more fun to grind.


• Improved combat control. There are a few tweaks here and there that allow you to automate certain things when you're not in the mood for a drawn-out fight.


• Rare heroes to summon. You're getting free stuff with this one! You can summon heroes and enjoy your access to limited edition heroes via 50x Summon.
